Deployment Strategist - Crypto Investigations

Global Services helps Chainalysis customers turn blockchain data and investigative tools into practical results. Our customers include law enforcement, national security teams, financial institutions, and organisations across the crypto industry.

We’re looking for a Deployment Strategist, Crypto Investigations, to join Global Services and support public-sector customers in France, particularly law enforcement and intelligence teams. You’ll use your investigative experience and technical skills to help customers get the most out of Chainalysis products. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role focused on investigations and practical problem-solving rather than software engineering.

You’ll work with customers throughout their engagement with Chainalysis, from understanding their needs and conducting investigations to developing workflows, delivering training, and helping them build their own capabilities. You’ll need sound investigative judgement, strong French communication skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with customers.

In this role, you’ll:

• Support customer engagements from initial discovery and pre-sales through investigations, solution delivery, training, and ongoing support

• Conduct blockchain investigations using Chainalysis products, particularly Reactor

• Work with law enforcement, intelligence, and other public-sector customers to understand their objectives and help them achieve practical results

• Build and adapt investigative workflows, queries, reports, and dashboards using Chainalysis tools and data

• Help customers put investigative workflows into practice and develop the skills to use Chainalysis independently

• Build trusted customer relationships by providing practical investigative guidance and product expertise

• Lead customer meetings, demonstrations, investigative walkthroughs, training sessions, and technical briefings

• Support pre-sales discussions by understanding customer requirements and explaining how Chainalysis can help

• Share customer feedback and investigative insights with Product, Engineering, Global Intel, and Sales

• Share investigative techniques and best practices with colleagues across Global Services

We’re looking for candidates who have:

• Experience conducting or supporting investigations in law enforcement, policing, intelligence, or a related field. Candidates with relevant crypto or financial-crime investigation experience from other backgrounds will also be considered

• Experience working with public-sector, law-enforcement, intelligence, or other mission-focused stakeholders

• Strong investigative judgement and the ability to explain findings clearly and build credibility with customers

• The technical aptitude to learn investigative platforms and work with data; extensive software-engineering experience is not required

• The ability to analyse complex information and communicate findings to both investigators and senior stakeholders

• The flexibility to work across pre-sales, customer delivery, and ongoing support

• Fluency in French, with the ability to work confidently with French-speaking customers

• The ability to be based in France, ideally in Paris

Required Skills

Technical Skills

• Confidence using investigative tools and the ability to develop expertise in Chainalysis Reactor

• Ability to work with investigative data and turn customer requirements into practical workflows, queries, and reports

• Familiarity with blockchain investigation tools or analytical workflows is an advantage; Python and SQL are not required

• Ability to learn Chainalysis products and understand how their data can support customer investigations

Domain Expertise

• Experience in law enforcement, policing, intelligence, financial crime, or another relevant investigative field

• Understanding of investigative objectives, operational workflows, and the outcomes customers need to achieve

• Ability to use investigative judgement to guide an investigation and advise customers on their approach

Customer & Communication Skills

• Ability to build trusted customer relationships through investigative knowledge and practical support

• Excellent spoken and written French, including the ability to explain complex investigative concepts clearly

• Confidence leading customer meetings, briefings, demonstrations, and training sessions

• Ability to help customers develop their own skills and use Chainalysis tools independently

Day to Day Activities

• Conduct investigations using Chainalysis tools, primarily Reactor, based on customer requirements

• Prepare investigative reports, workflows, queries, and other analytical outputs

• Work directly with customers to develop and implement investigative workflows

• Deliver hands-on training, walkthroughs, and knowledge-sharing sessions

• Lead demonstrations, investigative briefings, and solution presentations

• Support pre-sales discussions, technical discovery, and solution scoping

• Gather customer feedback and share practical recommendations with Product, Engineering, and Global Intel

• Manage multiple customer engagements while maintaining quality and responsiveness

• Continue developing knowledge of blockchain investigations and emerging crypto-related threats

Personal Attributes

• Curious about blockchain technology, crypto crime, and investigative techniques

• Able to communicate clearly and adapt to different audiences

• Comfortable taking ownership and making sound decisions in situations where the path forward may not be clear

• Collaborative and willing to work across teams

• Keen to develop specialist knowledge and share it with others

Nice to have experience: [icing on the cake, not a deal breaker]

• Previous experience using Chainalysis products

• Experience with cryptocurrency investigations, blockchain analytics, or financial-crime analysis

• Experience in traditional finance or financial investigations

• Experience providing expert evidence or supporting legal proceedings

• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as BSA/AML, sanctions screening, MiCA, or the Travel Rule

• Experience with data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or cloud-based analytics tools

• Published research, intelligence reports, or other work relating to blockchain analytics or financial crime

AI at Chainalysis
AI is not a feature at Chainalysis - it is a new way of working. One that turns instructions into work done, and helps us move faster than the threats we're built to counter, and we expect our employees to take ownership of the output and ensure quality. As the world's most trusted blockchain analytics platform, Chainalysis sits at a rare intersection of proprietary data, regulatory relationships and crypto expertise that makes it uniquely placed to shape and lead the next era of AI-driven intelligence - and we expect everyone here, regardless of role, to be an active part of it.

AI fluency is tied directly to how we measure performance and how we plan to win. There is no substitute for your own curiosity. We provide the tools, workflows, and space to experiment - but the expectation is that you develop these capabilities yourself, bring ideas, and collaborate across teams to reinvent the way work gets done. We are not using AI to do less. We are using it to do what was never possible before.
