Location: Amsterdam (NL)
At Plumerai, we make it easy and affordable for developers to add highly accurate AI to their camera devices, enabling them to create amazing new products. Our AI is helping millions of people feel safe and making their lives more convenient. Major brands deploy our advanced computer vision AI on millions of smart home cameras in the field and we’re rapidly expanding into commercial security, retail, assisted living, and more. The recent improvements in multimodal LLMs are unlocking valuable new applications in these markets with Plumerai as the driving force.
We combine our on-device Tiny AI software with our cloud-based Vision Language Models, providing People Detection, Video Search, AI Captions, Familiar Face Identification, Multi-camera ReID, Real-time Alerts and more. The best solution runs as much as possible on-device to enable low-power, accurate, and private AI products. This is where Plumerai leads, even outperforming Google Nest on accuracy. We are now starting to invest heavily in market adoption.
We build the most accurate and efficient AI solutions by vertically integrating all layers of the stack. From data collection and curation, custom training software, model architectures, multimodal LLMs, pre- and postprocessing, and all the way down to the fastest inference engines. Not only does our team have a deep theoretical understanding of all these components, we also know how to ship fast and often.
Our team is based in London and Amsterdam, we have recently raised funding to provide multiple years of runway, while our recurring revenue is growing rapidly. We are backed by world-class investors such as Tony Fadell (creator of iPod, iPhone; founder of Nest), Hermann Hauser (founder of Arm), Zoubin Ghahramani (Google DeepMind), and others. About the role
We are looking for a Chief of Staff who will help us accelerate our growth by tackling whatever limiting factor we face. You will become a direct extension of the CEO and will work very closely with him. You will drive two to four high-priority strategic initiatives that the CEO cannot personally execute. Your work will range from taking ownership of everything required to make a product launch successful and temporarily leading functions until a specialist is hired to optimizing our recruitment process and preparing for a new fundraising process. You’re someone who thrives on complex problem-solving with a lot of unknowns, can absorb a lot of information quickly, and is used to context switching. You are comfortable taking on work you have never done before.
You will discuss strategy with the CEO and be in the room for the company’s most important conversations. You understand that shipping fast today is often more important than waiting for a fully refined product in two months. Every week will be different. As we enter our most ambitious stage, we’re looking for someone who can do whatever is needed to help us move faster. The Chief of Staff is one of the highest-impact roles in the company.
What you will be doing
Work directly with our CEO on whatever matters most.
Shape the strategy for new product launches, handle the operations or coordinate PR outreach.
Help scale our recruitment process, co-own executive recruiting, organize recruitment events, think about our employer brand, and join candidate interviews.
Implement AI agents in the operations of our company.
Write external and internal communications, explaining complex ideas simply.
Investigate new potential markets and clearly formulate what ‘Plumerai for X’ would look like.
Support the CEO with investor relations and fundraising processes. Preparing board packs, data rooms, and investor materials.
Find answers to legal or regulatory questions that affect our business.
Stay close to the product roadmap, ensuring decisions are grounded in business strategy.
What we are looking for
You get things done and have a lot of energy.
No job is beneath you and you do whatever it takes. You don't wait for permission.
You always have a clear understanding of what needs to be prioritized, and you help the people around you stay focused on the right things.
You’re a generalist who is comfortable operating in ambiguity and creating structure where none exists.
You’re analytical and have excellent attention to detail.
You’re comfortable with technology, including AI tools, and can learn new tools quickly.
You’re fluent in English.
You will typically have around 5-8 years of experience in a high-performance environment, such as consulting, investment banking, VC, or a fast-scaling startup.
What we offer
Competitive salary.
Visa sponsorship.
Generous equity stake in the company.
Relocation assistance.
Choose your own laptop.
25 days of paid vacation in addition to public holidays.
We only consider applicants who are currently based in, or willing to relocate to, the Amsterdam region. We have flexible working hours. As you will work very closely with the CEO, you are expected to work from our office in central Amsterdam on most working days.
