Shape cybersecurity and resilience for generations to come

As Chief Information Security Officer at Viessmann Generations Group, you will shape our long-term cybersecurity vision and strengthen security leadership across the Group and its portfolio. At the heart of the role is establishing clear governance and ownership, aligning cybersecurity with business priorities, and strengthening long-term resilience.

This is an opportunity to combine deep cybersecurity expertise with strategic leadership in a purpose-driven, entrepreneurial family enterprise with a long-term perspective.

Viessmann Generations Group

As a globally active, independent family business in its fourth generation, we have been shaping living spaces for generations to come since 1917. Under the leadership of Max Viessmann, we pursue our mission with a long-term perspective and entrepreneurial spirit.

Today, the Viessmann Generations Group supports over 30 mid-sized companies and family businesses across Europe and the US as well as a broad real assets portfolio – all united by their active contribution to the energy transition. We invest capital, expertise, and passion in three core impact areas:

• Climate: Renewable energy, carbon reduction, and green infrastructure

• Water: Solutions for water scarcity, quality, and efficiency

• Food: Sustainable agriculture, supply chain innovation, and food technology

Our goal: to create impact – ecological, societal, and entrepreneurial.

The Viessmann Way supports how we work, lead, and create value together - whether as a team member, entrepreneur or partner in our ecosystem. It is not a rulebook, but a compass: a living set of principles shaped by over a century of entrepreneurship and guided by our long-term purpose.

The Opportunity

• Lead the response to major cyber incidents and strengthen business continuity and organizational resilience

• Advise senior leadership on cyber risks, priorities, and investment decisions and build strong alignment across business and technology

• Develop security capabilities, culture, and collaboration while strengthening third-party and supply-chain security

What You Bring

• 10–15 years of relevant cybersecurity or information security experience, including significant leadership responsibility

• Strong track record across cybersecurity strategy, governance, enterprise risk, security operations, and resilience

• Experience in complex corporate or larger mid-sized environments; manufacturing and shopfloor exposure are particularly relevant

• Strong executive stakeholder management combined with strategic thinking and a pragmatic, hands-on leadership style

• Relevant academic background; certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, ISO 27001, or GIAC are an advantage

Why Join Us

This is an opportunity to shape cybersecurity as a strategic capability within a family enterprise that thinks and acts across generations.
